Swanson began her work as a Middle School Counselor and Teacher after graduating from ASU in 1991.


OVERVIEW

Swanson accepted a position as the Director of High School Programs at Indian Hills Community College after leaving Fairfield Community School. Swanson oversaw college and school district initiatives, courses, contracts, and collaborations for a decade. She also served as a link between colleges, K-12 schools, corporations, and industry. Indian Hills Community College (IHCC) is a public community college in Iowa with campuses in Ottumwa and Centerville that serve roughly 6,000 students. IHCC covers a ten-county area in southeast Iowa as well as parts of northern Missouri, and serves both traditional residential and commuter students.
